Drop Shipping is a type of retail business where the seller acts like the middle man where the store will take orders from the customer, then purchase the product from a manufacturer or other party. The manufacturer or other party will then ship the product to the customer.

• The store does not need to carry inventory
• It has a lower start-up cost
• It can be run from anywhere
• You can carry a wide variety of products to sell
• You can see if a product will sell without committing to purchasing a large amount of it.
• The business is easier to expand since orders are filled by the suppliers

• You must keep your prices low due to the amount of drop shipping competition meaning you earn less money.
• You do not control the product you sell, but if a supplier has issues, you will get the blame and bad reviews.
• It’s difficult to guarantee the quality of the product.

I don’t think I would create a drop shipping store. I like having control of the product I’m selling. Although I could change my mind if the right opportunity came along.

Affiliate Marketing is when you use your website to promote a company’s product or service and provide a link to make a sale. When a sale is made through that link, you receive a commission.

AdWords first launched on October 23, 2000.  As of July 24^th, 2018, Ad Words has changed its name. It is now Google Ads.  It is an online advertising program from Google.  Part of Google’s Pay-Per-Click platform, it allows a business to be shown in a search above an organic search, or by the displaying of ads of a product when you search them in Google.  It decides how to place its ads in order through the Google Ads Auction.  This uses keywords to find a quality score and then combines it with your max bid, or amount of money you will pay, to determine the order, or placement, your site or product will appear in a Google Search.

You can set this up for your Ecommerce site by signing up with Google. You can sign up at Google Ads – Get Customers and Sell More with Online Advertising.  Click on the “Start Now” button and Google will begin the process.
